Howdy everyone or should I say AHOY! I'm so excited to be back for another summer here at WKC! I may be an old timer but I never get tired of sailing the old summer sea with these kids. I'll do my best to stay afloat this summer with you all!

Nate

Counselor

Hi, I’m Nate. I'm from Chicago, Illinois. I am currently going into my junior year of college double majoring in psychology and sociology at the University of Utah. I love playing basketball, listening to music, reading a good book , any outside activities, scuba diving, and buffalo wings. One of my goals this summer is to read 5 books.  Anyways I’m so excited to meet everyone and have tons of fun with everyone this summer!

Hi, I'm Zoe!! I'm currently studying art at BYU and like any activity that involves using my hands. I love it when it rains and I like to explore what's out there; cultures, nature, anything I can find! I'm always trying to learn new things... right now I'm learning about animals and space. Hi everyone I'm Sparky! This is my first summer here at the WKC and I'm so excited to be here! I'll do my best to "spark" some joy in every campers day by always staying bright and colorful!

Hi, I’m Paisley! This is my first summer at WKC and I could not be more excited! I love all things creative- drawing, painting, sewing, and all kinds of crafts. I am currently studying illustration at UVU, and in the fall I will be a cast member at my favorite place, Walt Disney World! I am the oldest of 5 kids, and I love playing board games and watching Disney movies with my family. Ask me anything about Frozen, I bet I know the answer! See you on the bus!

Hi, my name is Rachell. I'm 20 years old. I'm from Sandy Utah where I still currently live. This will be my first year working at the camp and couldn't be more excited. I have previously worked for my aunt as a babysitter and found I enjoyed it I also enjoy being outdoors going hiking, playing volleyball, cold dipping, and almost anything outdoors. As long as the sun is out I am too.

Hello! My name is Jake, and I'm excited to be working as a camp counselor here at Wasatch Kids Camp this summer. While this is my first year at this summer camp, I have worked around children and students for nearly 5 years now and I am very excited to help your children have a fun and memorable summer. When I am not helping your children make memories and learn new life skills, I attend Utah State University as a full-time student. I study Chemistry with a professional emphasis, and I am going into my final year of study. Once I graduate I hope to begin my career in my field and settle down with my fiance to begin the next phase of my life. Thank you again for allowing me the opportunity to meet and work with your kids!

Yo Yo Yo what's up kids camp!! My name is Maverick, Mav for short, and this is my 2nd year bussin at WKC! I'm so stoked to be a bus at camp this year and to be hangin' out with all the cool campers. You'll never miss me driven' down the street so make sure to stop by and say hi to me, Mr. Mav!

I’m a crafter at heart.  If I can put my hands on it, I probably love doing it.  I’m excited to be back at Camp !  I love what we do and the people I get to spend time with.  I look forward to it all year.

LIZ

Yá’át’ééh! My name is Liz and it is my second year with WKC! I am part of the Navajo tribe and grew up in New Mexico and Arizona near the Four Corners. The rez is home to me. I didn’t spend time at summer camps growing up and because of that I’m so excited to spend the summer doing all the fun activities with the kids and spending time in the sun. During the school year I am a substitute teacher in the middle schools and love spending time in the classroom. I have my bachelors in ELA Education from Fort Lewis College. I love spending time with kids and building bonds and just having fun with them. In my free time I love to snuggle up with a good book, play video games, and spend any time that I can with family!

My name is Jim. This is my 16th year working at WKC.

The summer season is my favorite time of year because I love working with both the kids and counselors at camp. I really wish it were always summer and never winter. 

Every day at camp is a new adventure because there are so many exciting and fun things to do and see. 

During the school year, I drive a school bus for the Granite School District. On weekends, I like fishing, gardening, backyard barbeques, and watching college and professional sports. 

I like to joke a lot with the campers, and I am looking forward to helping the kids and counselors make some awesome memories together this year.

Hi I'm Lexi! I am so excited to be working my second summer at WKC and I can't wait to meet everyone! I was always so excited to go to summer camps as a kid and I hope to spread my love and joy for camp with all of you. I am a student at the University of Utah working on a degree in Kinesiology. In the future, I hope to combine my knowledge and my love for kids, and pursue a job in pediatrics. I can't wait to have the best summer ever!!

Hello, I'm Gunnar! I recently graduated from college with a bachelor's degree in psychology and child development. My passion for education is unwavering, and I'm excited to continue my academic journey by pursuing a master's program at the University of Utah this August. Beyond academics, I find joy in nature, staying active, and expressing myself through art!

Hi hi! My name is Jane and I am 20 years old. I am currently attending SUU, studying psychology and mathematics. I recently returned home from spending a semester in India teaching kids English, and I’m excited to continue working with kids back home this summer!! In my free time I love to listen to music, read, hike, bake, and be outside!!
